GfB: the Colchester Bookshop is located at the top of East Hill, which is the continuation of the High Street, at the eastern edge of the town centre. We are just 200m from the Visitor Information Centre and very close to the Castle Museum, the Natural History Museum (in All Saints church), Hollytrees Museum and The Minories Art Gallery.

From Colchester Town Station turn right into St. Botolph's Street which continues as Queen Street. At the end of Queen Street, opposite the War Memorial, turn right again. The bookshop is on the left after 200m. |

From the main Bus Station entrance, by The Minories, turn right. The bookshop is on the left after 150m. |

It is usually easiest to approach the eastern town centre from the Cowdray Avenue/Ipswich Road roundabout. Turn right at the next mini-roundabout and continue straight ahead. The bookshop is on the right at the top of the hill. |
